You can find the Greenhouse Tavern at corner Pacific Highway and Bray Street, Coffs Harbour, NSW, 2450.

Greenhouse Tavern Features

The Greenhouse Tavern is perfect for kids. Not only can kids eat free on Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights between 5:30 and 6:30.

 

Aside from kids eating free, there is  enough entertainment to keep the kids busy for the duration of your meal.

Kids can chose between:

• jumping on the jumping castle;
• colouring in;
• watching a movie (the dinosaur was on when we arrived and as we were the only family there i asked them if they had Frozen and much to our daughters delight they put it on the big tv for her);
• climbing and sliding in the play-gym or
• playing playstation.

Food at Greenhouse Tavern  

We visited on a Sunday evening, one of the three nights when kids eat free if the folks are eating meals over $17.

 

Kids Food

The little one had cheeseburgers which was two baby cheeseburgers with chips. The big one had chicken nuggets which was served with chips and salad.

 

Ordinarily a child’s meal will set you back $9.90 and includes a main meal, a side and a drink. For an extra $3 your child can choose a dessert.

 

The kid’s menu is quite loaded – for mains kids can have:

• pasta,
• burgers,
• steak,
• schnitzels or
• pizza,

For a side they can have either chips and salad or a potato and seasonal veg.

 

Adult Food

The adult menu has salads, chicken, burgers and steaks.

 

My husband went for the chicken parmi (bottom right in the pic) and said it was one of the best that he had eaten. I went for the crumbed chicken (bottom left in the pic) and it was good, the chips weren’t great though.

 

Nana had an ABC chicken (top left) which was chicken with avo and bacon and she found it to be good whereas grandpa had the beef casserole (top right) which was “average”. So two out of the adult’s meals were good and two weren’t so good.

 

There are a variety of specials on at the Greenhouse Tavern on different nights of the week which you can check out on their website. At the time of writing this Monday & Tuesday are $11 pizza nights, Wednesdays are steak and ale for $11 and thursday is $11 chicken schnitzel.

 

Greenhouse Tavern Facilities

There is plenty of seating both outside and in (if you do chose to sit outside near the play equipment just be aware that there is a train track nearby and the train is loud and came at least twice while we were eating dinner and the restaurant backs onto a main road. While you order at the bar there is table service.

The kids had a wonderful time which meant the outing ended in tears.

The Greenhouse Tavern is generally open from 10am to midnight Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 10pm on Sundays.
