Hotel Pennant Hills, Pennant Hills

Hotel Pennant Hills

Hotel Pennant Hills is a great way to meet up with friends with kids for a meal or a coffee. It has two dedicated playrooms with jungle gyms for climbing, lots of space for prams to park alongside the table, plenty of actual parking, child friendly food and coffee.

Where is Hotel Pennant Hills

How to get to Hotel Pennant Hills

There are two easy options for getting to the Hotel, by driving or by train. The train is easy because the Hotel is directly opposite the train station (50m away maximum). Driving is easier than normal because of the free parking behind the hotel.

We arrived on a rainy day during school holidays and there was still some parking spots left despite the play area being full. This is a good indication of how much parking there is.

There is Pram access getting into the hotel and the seating area nearest to the play area has enough space for prams should you have a sleeping baby with you.

The Hotel is quite big and seems to be made up of different seating / entertainment areas. The kids’ area is separate from the main restuarant area and the gambling machines.

Hotel Pennant Hills Play Areas

The play area is separated into two different sections.  One for ages 2 to 4 (under the height of 101cm) and the other for ages 5 to 10 (under the height of 135cm). Both areas are enclosed in glass so you can sit at a nearby table and watch the kids.  Both areas are meant to be gated.

When we visited the Hotel, the play area was crazy. Granted it was school holidays, but it was impossible to leave your little kids in the small kids section because of the risk of them getting hurt.

There is plenty of space for a Pram and high chairs on offer.  Close by is also a kids toilet / parents rooms. According to the website there is a Gelato Bar. As it was pouring with rain when we visited we didn’t have the need to check this out 🙂

Hotel Pennant Hills Food

Hotel Pennant Hills has two menus, the Bistro Menu and the Cafe Menu which are served at the following times (pretty confusing if you ask me but at least I’ve copied it verbatim from the Hotel’s website so I can’t have it wrong):

Cafe Menu:
Mon – Sat 9.30am-12pm
Sun – 10am-12pm

Bistro Menu:
Mon – 12pm-3pm, 6pm-8.30pm
Tues, Wed, Thurs – 12pm-3pm, 6pm -9pm
Fri and Sat – 12pm-3pm, 5pm-9pm
Sun – 12pm-8.30pm (Reduced menu 3pm-5pm)

We visited in the afternoon between 3 and 5pm and were able to order a massive bowl of chips which three adults and two kids shared and some coffee.

Opening hours

The Hotel is open 7 days a week from Monday to Saturday.

It’s open at 9.30am to “late” as per their website and on Sundays from from 10am to 10pm.

    1. The two I really really want to visit are Castle Hill RSL and Terry Hills Tavern.
