I wish I had known about NIOVI Organics’ Organic Cotton Clothing when my daughter was younger. As it is she is just fitting into their pyjamas, a fact I am very very happy about, but it wish it could last longer.

Why I love Organic Cotton Clothing

Before I get to NIOVI, I’m just going to give you the low down on Organic Cotton.

On large scale Organic Cotton is better for the environment because it is grown without the use of toxic pesticides or fertilisers and uses much less water. The extent of the damage caused by pesticides and insecticides in cotton farming is seriously scary. Further to this, as most cotton growing countries still harvest cotton by hand, there are a number of health issues for the people picking the cotton.

 

For children and babies who are wearing cotton, there are often cases of skin irritations and rashes, just from the toxins that remain in the cotton fibres.

 

The production of organic cotton also comes with far stricter rules and regulations.

Sizing

The range is largely dedicated to babies as this stage so the biggest size you can get is 3. Given that my 3 year old is a big 3 and the 3 fit her, I should say that you can probably buy the age your child is and there may be a little room for growth. I know that they are “snug fit” for the American market whose sizes are generally a little generous. Think GAP sizing.

The NIOVI Organics Pyjamas

So my little girl received the long sleeved and long legged Niovi Organics Pyjamas. It was love at first sight!

The minute she tore open the tissue paper they were on. In the middle of summer, in Sydney. Although the patterns aren’t loud and bold and rather more delicate and neutral they appealed to her. This in itself is quite something given that 90% of her clothes have to be Frozen orientated.

 

The texture of the cotton material is just stunning and so soft. It’s breathable and stretchy but also so comfy for her. She really loves them.
