Galston Mini Trains
Galston Mini Trains has an extensive 5″ gauge miniature railway, with a main-line length about 1 km. The trains run through a natural bush setting.
There is a mix of steam and “diesel” (i.e. petrol or electric) locomotives and the trains run continually throughout the day. But, on days of a Total Fire Ban this will be limited to “diesel”.
There is also a large G1 layout which is being developed with scale buildings.
Galston Mini Trains are on the 2nd Sunday each month.
The mini trains run every 2nd Sunday even on Mother’s Day and long weekends.
Gates open at 9:30 but the rides operate from 10 am to 3 pm. They may finish earlier if there are very few people left or the weather turns bad.
