    6:00pm - Michael Wohl

Michael Wohl’s guitar playing is not folk, blues, or country. The overly academic “authorities” on such subjects might shake their heads when he detours from strict bar structure with a desultory chord and flash of dissonant bends. This is not music for puritans or perfectionists. This is searching guitar music that reflects the wandering interests of its player. You hear the drone of an open tuning that drifts back and forth between something that sounds distinctly Delta and all at once strangely British Isles. You hear music that is restless on one hand, and meditative on the other.

    7:00pm - Jeremy Serwer

Rockerbaby Productions and The Mix are excited to welcome back the stylized Americana sounds of Jeremy Serwer. In the tradition of performers like Steve Earle, Bruce Springsteen, Jeff Buckley, and Mark Lanegan, Serwer looks “underneath the beauty and glamour of the United States,” he says. He’s a “serious-minded songwriter,” writes Jeff Rosenberg of the Portland, Ore., Willamette Weekly, and his songs are at once graceful, hopeful, scathing, and heartbreaking. “Like Billy Bragg, he’s a political songwriter dealing with a post-ideological world,” says Madeline Ostrander, independent journalist and contributing editor of YES! Magazine.

8:00pm - Love Letters to France

Returning to The Mix is one of Rockerbaby Productions favorites, Love Letters to France. This Alternative/Folk/Indie/Rock duo, influenced by their love of multiple genres have created a unique and vibrant sound, comparable to Of Monsters and Men or Daughter.
