Colin J Nelson writes lyrically and musically adventurous songs. They aim to scratch those hard-to-reach itches in our ears, combiningelements of art-pop, anti-folk, rock and Americana into fresh and surprising cuisine. Nelson sings these songs accompanied by fingerstyle guitar, of the acoustic and electric varieties. He is often joined by Kubby Casual on drums and Jack Nelson on bass guitar.

Saint John’s music career has gone from hitchhiking and playing in the streets of Europe to performing theaters and recording with Peter Buck of R.E.M., and he doesn’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.
His band, Saint John and the Revelations, then played numerous shows along the west coast of America, from Southern California (Hotel Café, Genghis Cohen, The Galaxy Theatre, etc) to the Pacific Northwest (Triple Door Theater, Nectar), and opened for many acts, including Jackson Browne, Colin Hay (Men At Work), Tom Morello (RATM, The Nightwatchman), Wang Chung, Naked Eyes, VAST, and many others.
Saint John recently started recording some new songs with Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Bill Rieflin (R.E.M., KMFDM, Ministry), and Scott McCaughey (R.E.M., Baseball Project) and produced by Paul Fox (10,000 Maniacs, Wallflowers, Semisonic, Bjork).
